New Tech Director for CCS in 2014

I would like to say thank you to Ed Crilly who has decided not to return to CCS in 2014. Ed was with me from the beginning and worked with us for three years as Tech Director. Ed has decided to focus his time on other projects, one being his drag car. We hope to see Ed out on some of our Friday Nights with his car. I look forward to seeing his finished Ford Maverick. We wish Ed all the best in his future endeavors.

CCS is pleased to introduce Dave Brown as our new Tech Director for 2014. Dave used to be the Tech Director for CCS years ago and has been the Tech Director at Kawartha for the last 10 years. Most of our current drivers have worked with Dave before and we expect the transition process to bve  seamless. Dave's first project will be working with me on the Thunder Car rule book. There are no rule changes coming for this class but we will be clarifying some of the wordings to make it more clear in certain aspects.

You may contact Dave at davidb3621@sympatico. ca, if you have any tech questions.

New Enduro Date Added - September 27th.

We have received great reviews about our Enduro's and the support we have received from our Enduro drivers has been fantastic. Due to the support CCS has had from all of our enduro guys and from the fan support we have had for them, CCS has added one last enduro to finish off the season. We wanted to put this together last year but it never quite got off the ground in time to make it happen. It will happen in 2014.

Capital City Speedway will hold our first annual " Fall Fest " September 27th, 2014. This will be a 200 Lap Enduro. In addition, we will also have a Chain Race. 2 cars chained together, the first car will tow the 2nd car around the track. The back car will not have the motor running, but must have a motor in it. The back car will have power in it to run the brakes and steering. The engine in the back car must have the same size motor in it. This means if you run an eight cylinder lead car, the back car will have an eight cylinder in it. If you run a 4 cylinder lead car, the back can have a four in it as well. If you are running a six cylinder lead car, you must have a six or an eight in the rear.

If your rear car becomes detached, you will be disqualified. This will not be a demolition derby style event. It will be a two car race. Cars will be black flagged for overly aggressive driving. Please note we used the term "overly aggressive". This will be a 20 lap event.

Chain Race:
Entry Fee per team will be $ 50.00. Winners payout will be $ 400.00

Enduro Race:
Entry Fee will be $ 50.00 Winners Payout will be $ 400.00. $ 200 for 2nd, and $ 100.00 for third for the 8 cylinder class. $ 250.00 for 1st, 125.00 for 2nd and $ 75.00 for third in the 4 cylinder class.

We are also looking at adding a four cylinder car demolition derby to this event as well, and possibly some other stuff as well. If you are interested in adding the demolition derby, please let me know. I would like to see interest levels before we go ahead and add this on.

Please check back in as we will be reviewing rules for the chain race. Once they are finished, they will be published in the upcoming weeks.

Mr. Lube is back with CCS in 2014

Capital City Speedway is pleased to announce that we have entered into a cross promotion deal again with Mr. Lube in 2014. Mr. Lube will be one of our Advertisers in 2014 and together we have put together a great package for you. All of our fans who attend Capital City Speedway in 2014 will receive a $ 5.00 off coupon for an oil change at any one of the six Ottawa area Mr. Lube stores.

When you visit any of the six Ottawa area stores and get your oil changed, you will receive a $ 5.00 off coupon to use on any Wednesday Night Stock Car Show, or
$ 5.00 off any Friday Night Drag Car entry.

Mr. Lube has been a leader in the industry since 1976, and now it is your chance to experience their quality service first hand. With your CCS coupon, it just got even better, for a great price and great service , all rolled up into one.

The next time you are looking for an oil change think Mr. Lube, and pick up your
$ 5.00 off coupon to use at Capital City Speedway. ( Not available until Early May. )

Remember, Mr. Lube does more than just change oil. New in 2014 - Now get your E-test done at any of the Mr. Lube locations. Drive in and drive out with your E-test certificate.

Quality service. At your service.
When it comes to quality service, we believe the customer should always come first. Yeah, we know. You've heard it before. So have we. But trust us, we mean it. It's just the kind of company we are.

There are at least two good reasons for this. One, we're Canadian-owned – which means being nice comes naturally. And two, our business pretty much depends on it. After all, we're known for taking care of your car on your schedule, not ours.

You probably know that we deliver fast, warranty-approved maintenance that prolongs the life of your vehicle. And if you're a customer, you already know that you come first when we do it. Now, here's where we take things just a little bit farther.

When you come into Mr. Lube for an oil change, your very own technician will perform a courtesy check on your vehicle. While we're caring for your car, by topping up fluids and performing other services free of charge, we're also taking care of you. How? We'll offer you coffee and a newspaper, all free of charge and all from the comfort of your own car.

We're best known as the oil change specialists, which we're proud of. But it's worth mentioning that we perform a wide range of other maintenance services too. These include:

Fluid changes: engine oil, transmission, coolant, differential and transfer case

Filter replacements: air, cabin air, fuel and emission (PCV)
