Drag Meeting was a Success. Drag Car Registation Now Open!

The Drag meeting was well attended, and we came away with some great feedback about the Drag Strip. Our new Saturday Championship Series was a hit, with 11 cars already signed up for it. If you are interested in being a part of our Saturday Shootout, please let me know. We need another 19 cars, or motorcycles registered to guarantee that the Shootout Series will happen. Registration is $ 60.00 with $ 40.00 going directly back into the Championship Payouts. More cars equals more payouts for both the weekly and year end payouts.

Proposed Event Payouts:
All payouts will be based on car counts..

The Saturday Shootout Series is a Dial In competition and will have Four Classes in which to
compete. They are as follows:
§Open – This is a Super and Semi Pro class with no electronics.
§Motorcycle – This is an open motorcycle class
§Street Class – This is limited to road licensed vehicles with no slicks, but Drag Radials will be allowed. If we cannot get a 16 car field it will be joined with the Open class.
§Jr Dragster – Open time class – must have cage.

§There was no distinct Super Pro Class , as it is a matter of car count. If we can get enough support we will run a separate Super Pro Class. We have a number of options available to make this class work, so if you have a Super Pro car with electronics and want something to happen, please let me know.

§It will be a best of 5, out of 7 races. Tie breaker to the highest finish and then down from there. If it is all equal all the way down, attendance will be the determining factor.

This is your first view of the 2013 Capital City Speedway Dragster Show Car. Watch for it around town as it will be out promoting Capital City Dragway. It will be out on our Friday Night Street Drags events making some noise, and some fast passes. This Dragster has a 440 Big Block Mopar and will be looking to kick some Chevy butt. It runs on alcohol and once the operator gets some experience it should run  the 1/8 mile around 5.25, over 125 mph.
