Mother Nature Takes the Checkers at CCS July 3, 2014

Stittsville, ON – Wednesday, July 3, 2014 – Kirk Mulligan – The local stars of Capital City Speedway (CCS) were in town tonight for the Stittsville Trailer Fan Appreciation Night.  Crews were working diligently trying to complete any required fine tuning of their race cars.  A complete race program was set for this evening until Mother Nature claimed the final curtain.  However, before the commencement of the race program, a special announcement was unveiled.  Special mention was given to two of CCS’s most respected motorsports enthusiasts Steve Yendall and Julio Pasinetti.   These two gentlemen will be inducted into the CCS Hall of Fame Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Congratulations Steve and Julio!

On another note, division leaders Justin Holtom, Casey Cavanagh/Neal Leblond, Jason Moss, Kevin Foisy and Mike Atwell were all looking to extend their points leads.  However, many drivers are ready to remind these competitors that they’re not the only contenders opting for the 2014 championship.  Unfortunately, they will have to wait until next week, Wednesday evening, July 9, 2014, for the Sports Systems Canada, Mould Family Memorial Race Night.  Keep your spirits revvvved up for next week as the race night will feature Late Models, Legends, Mini Stock, Thunder and 4-For-Fun divisions.  Also in town is the special feature Sportsman Modified division.  The races will start at 7:15 pm sharp!  Regular general admission is $15 for adults, $13 for seniors, $10 for teens (13-16) and children 12 & under are free.
