Some HOT Racing on Wednesday

The weather on Wednesday was hot and so was the racing. The attendance was light and we will have to assume that the heat kept most of our race fans at home. That was a shame because the temperature at the track was just perfect for watching racing. It was a beautiful night where you could sit out in shorts and a tee shirt and watch the racing action all night long. There are not many nights where you can do that during our short summer season and I am having trouble figuring out why so few people showed up.
Does Ottawa and the Valley want to see Capital City Speedway continue to offer stock car racing on a weekly basis? If the answer is Yes, then you need to show your support by attending as often as you can. If no, then continue to stay home on one of the best nights we have had so far this year. Capital City Speedway can not operate unless we have your support, and all you need to do is come to the track, buy a ticket and be entertained.
Help keep the track viable and buy a ticket today.

The winners for June 20th.

Late Model - Justin Holtom  took home his first feature win of 2012 with a strong showing and showed why we will be running for the Late Model Championship this year.

Thunder - Todd Musker ran a great race with Greg Ogilvie a close second. Dave Stinson and Karol Thibideau were very close and finished third and fourth. Watch these four drivers to make it interesting each and every week.

Legend - Kevin Foisy took his third Feature win of the year. The great part about that race was the great driving by some of our new and younger drivers. Chris Zieran, Matt Haufe and Brian Saunders put on a great show and more of that will come each and every week from these three. Rob Sugrue who missed the first few races had an excellent race and put his name back on the map with a strong finish in the feature.

Mini Stock - Kyle Baker took another feature win in his hunt to remain the Mini Stock Champion for 2012. Kyle will be back next week with a few more pounds added to his car which should make things quite interesting. Watch out for Chris MacDonald and Casy Cavanagh next week.

Four for Fun - Malcolm MacDonald took home his first feature win this week. The great thing about Four for Fun is just about anyone could take the feature wins from week to week. Tune in next week to see who the lucky one will be.

Join us next week for Myers Automotive Group Night. This is our "Schools Out Party" with all children 12 and under getting in for free.
